Biography

Brian Mullins is an independent country music artist and songwriter from West Virginia whose heartfelt storytelling and authentic lyrics are connecting with listeners around the world. Blending his West Virginia Appalachian roots with his Georgia Southern soul, Brian creates original country music that explores faith, family, love, heartbreak, hope, resilience, and the everyday moments that shape our lives. Every song is written from personal experience, giving listeners stories they can not only hear—but truly feel.

Raised in the small town of Meadow Bridge, West Virginia, before moving to Winder, Georgia at the age of twelve, Brian's unique upbringing shaped the sound and perspective that define his music today. Influenced by legendary artists such as Conway Twitty and George Strait while embracing the energy of Southern rock, his music blends traditional country values with modern production, creating a sound that is both timeless and refreshingly authentic.

Since releasing his debut single, Dirt Road Diaries, in October 2025, Brian has built a rapidly growing audience of country music fans who appreciate honest songwriting and meaningful storytelling. His music has been featured in dozens of magazines, highlighted through international interviews, and earned tens of thousands of streams and thousands of physical CD sales. Reviewers have consistently described him as "the new sound of country," recognizing his ability to preserve the tradition of country storytelling while bringing a fresh voice to today's independent music scene.

Recording from his own Coalfield Records studio, Brian remains committed to writing songs that inspire, encourage, and connect with people from all walks of life. Whether sharing stories of faith, honoring veterans, celebrating Appalachian heritage, or reflecting on life's greatest joys and deepest struggles, his mission is simple: to create music that leaves listeners feeling understood and reminds them they are never alone.

Beyond music, Brian's diverse professional background—including advanced graduate education and years of experience helping others through counseling, coaching, and ministry—has given him a unique understanding of the human experience. That depth of compassion and perspective is woven throughout his songwriting, allowing every lyric to carry authenticity, hope, and purpose.

Today, Brian resides in Leslie, West Virginia. He is the founder of Coalfield Records and Coalfield Country Media Network, a growing organization dedicated to supporting independent country artists and preserving the tradition of authentic country music. As an active member of the International Singer-Songwriters Association (ISSA) and SoundNex, Brian continues to reach audiences around the world with music that speaks to the heart.
