Biography

From the subarctic landscapes of Boden, Sweden, Pieces of Pix is the genre-defying digital music and art project of Stefan B. Pieksma. A Swedish Armed Forces officer and former Balkan peacekeeper, Stefan translates his observations of global geopolitics and modern society into a dynamic blend of dark country, Bossa Nova, and satirical cabaret.

SCORE 9.7 / 10

With his latest work, Stefan B. Pieksma delivers a haunting piece of modern war folklore that gets deep under your skin. The reduced acoustic instrumentation forms a fascinating contrast to the massive and painful theme of the Ukrainian resistance. It is a quiet but relentless anthem to all those who fight in the shadows for freedom and justice.
